Sell, Swap, Share and Repair event, 15th June 1-4pm

Great Bedwyn is holding a Sell, Swap, Share & Repair community event as part of the national Great Big Green week.

Come and join us to Sell, Swap or Share your surplus possessions from a table or rug on your garden path or garage or a box by your gate to find new homes for preloved clothes, DVDs, CDs, books, tools, children’s toys, household items etc. You can do this with friends and neighbours too. A map showing participating sites will be displayed on all village notice boards for visitors. Lots of people have already signed up. To put yourself on the map, let us know at greatgreenbedwyn@gmail.com by June 11 

There will also be a Pop-up Repair Café in Great Bedwyn Church from 1-3.30pm. This will help reduce the number of items that go to landfill. Bring along your portable (small) broken electrical, mechanical or other items to see if our volunteers can fix them for you on the spot for free. We will also sharpen kitchen knives, scissors and garden tools and do simple mends or alterations to clothes. While our volunteers cannot guarantee to fix your things, they will take time to examine them and assess if they are repairable. The last items will be accepted at 3.30pm. 

The Repair Café is organised in collaboration with Hungerford Environmental Action Team. Delicious tea and homemade cakes will be available in the Church (1 - 4pm) by Bedwyn WI and Church supporters.
