Online rain garden training coming up for Great Bedwyn residents.
Two online events are coming up for residents of Great Bedwyn who would like to know more about creating and planting rain gardens in order to keep rain out of the sewerage network. These are part of the ARK Great Green Bedwyn Rain Gardens project funded by Thames Water. Participants can create rain gardens at home with financial and practical support.
The first event on February 23rd focuses on what a rain garden is, what plants to choose and how it works. The second event on March 2nd is slightly more technical and covers where to put your rain garden and what size it should be. In the second session we will also talk about combining water butts and rain water planters into your rain scape design.
All the details can be found on our upcoming events page here or contact charlotte@riverkennet.org to find out more. If you'd like to receive a recording of the training please contact ruthlarkin.ggb@outlook.com.
